Caboolture Kids
Collective

The Caboolture Kids Collective advocates for the needs and rights of children in Caboolture by identifying priority issues, elevating local voices, and promoting solutions that improve child wellbeing.

We take a place-based approach, working collaboratively with organisations, services and community partners to plan and implement responsive supports that genuinely meet the needs of families. By aligning efforts, sharing insights and co-designing practical approaches, we strengthen coordination across the local service system. Through this partnership-based planning, we aim to influence policy and program design so they deliver services which are effective, accessible and grounded in lived experience. 2025 Community Workshop

On Wednesday 19 November 2025, the Health Alliance brought together community providers from across the Moreton Bay region for a cross-sector workshop focused on strengthening support for children with developmental delay. The event drew a wide range of stakeholders from health, education, early childhood and community services. Together, participants explored what is and isn’t working within the local child development system and worked to identify practical, collective actions that could improve outcomes for children and families.  Participants voted on a name for the emerging initiative. The Caboolture Kids Collective received the highest number of votes and was agreed to be the name of the initiative moving forward. The Health Alliance will continue collaborating with partners to build on the priorities identified during the workshop, with the next phase of co-design and planning set to begin soon. A summary of key findings is available here.

2024 Call to Action

In 2024, The Health Alliance, built on previous work that examined broader health and development concerns across the Moreton Bay region. Child developmental delay and disability consistently emerged as a priority area requiring more coordinated action and provided further support for a collective, cross-sector approach to improving health and developmental outcomes for children and families in the Moreton Bay region. This work serves as a foundation for collective action, providing the rationale and direction needed to move toward a more integrated and effective child development support system in Moreton Bay. A summary of this call to action is available here.

Past work

In 2022, the Health Alliance partnered with yourtown to explore the viability of a place-based approach to improving child and family health in the region, identifying gaps and overlaps in services. This developed an evidence-based case for a collective impact approach, supported by community and stakeholder consultation and an advisory committee. This work informed a draft Collective Impact model and a suite of co-designed documents that provide community insights to guide future planning. They are available on the Health Alliance website here.
